Players must attend ALL practices and games. (Unless given prior permission)
The TEAM will share in the daily set up, break down and clean up of practice equipment. There will be no special considerations for grade level or varsity/JV status.
Any player who is not assisting in set up and break down will be given a verbal warning. Any subsequent offense will result in a 1 game suspension for each offense.
Players are representatives of GM and must act accordingly at all times. Disciplinary action will result at coaches' discretion respective to incident.
Players must show respect toward staff, equipment, teammates, opponents, fans and officials at all times. Disciplinary action will result at coaches' discretion.
Any player who is found to have misinformed or lied about tardiness or absence will receive a 1 match suspension. A second offense will result in removal from team.
The best players that give our TEAM the best chance to win will play regardless of age or year. The coaching staff decides what players play and what positions are played. Not negotiable!
Academic Standards
You are student athletes and all players must maintain high academic standards!
Any player failing any subject will not be permitted to participate in practice or games and will spend practice time working on homework, assignments or extra work for said class.
Note: Player must still attend practice at normal scheduled times.
Any player failing 2 subjects will be suspended from the team.
Injuries
Players must report ALL injuries to coaching staff immediately no matter how severe.
Injured players are required to attend all practices and games unless the said injury prevents player from attending or unless prior permission from coaching staff is granted.
Players must have a signed medical excuse from doctor to be excused from practice.
Any player who has a signed medical excuse cannot return to practice or games without a signed release form from doctor.
Any attempt to hide an injury from coaching staff will result in suspension from practice and games until receiving a signed medical clearance from doctor or until coaching staff believes the injury will not affect the players health and is in the best interest of the player and team.
Excused tardy or absence is when player contacts coaching PRIOR to said occurrence. Excused absences consist of medical emergencies, illness, family and school related priorities/events so deemed at the discretion of coaching staff. Employment, hair appointments, other sports etc are NOT excused absences.
Tardiness
At the designated time of practice, ALL players must be completely dressed & ready for practice not merely present in the gym. Not being ready constitutes tardiness & is unacceptable.
First unexcused tardy offense will result in a verbal warning and a 30 second drill for each minute tardy.
The second unexcused tardy will result in a 1 game suspension and letter to parents.
Subsequent tardiness will result in match suspensions and/or removal from team.
Absences
Unexcused absences from practice or games are unacceptable and will not be tolerated
The staff must be informed of all absences via a telephone call to staff or verbal request by player to staff (not through another player) prior to absence. If player is unable to contact staff, a message is to be left for staff in the office or answering machine at one of the following numbers.
